February Empties

It’s the first second week of march which means it’s time for a roundup of items I emptied in February.

From Left to Right in the picture above:

A.True Sweet Song Black Tea One-Step Cleansing Water

This cleansing water is ok. It removes most of my makeup easily but stings my eyes and dries my skin out if I don’t rinse after using, which IMO defeats the purpose of using cleansing water. Will not repurchase. If you need a cleansing water, Bioderma Sensibio H2O is still my favorite a long, long margin.
Product Received from 08L for Instagram review purposes. Available for purchase on Cupidrop and Amazon for ~$28.

Sun Bears Strong Super Plus SPF 50+ PA ++++

I’ve committed to learn how to surf this summer and have been testing out various waterproof sunscreens in preparation. This is one of them. This leaves a white cast and is a little drying, but prevents me from burning or tanning at all even if I sit in a swimming pool all day, so it definitely works. This isn’t my first bottle and I won’t be my last. Multiple backups already purchased.
Purchased from Master of Life on Rakuten. Also available on Amazon JP and Ebay for ~$4.

Swanicoco Fermentation Care Cream

Full review here. First item from the fermentation care collection that I finished and I really like it. The ingredients list is more impressive than most serums I’ve come across and this is as close to a all-in-one product as I’ve come across for my skin. Haven’t repurchased yet because I have so many creams to work through but definitely considering it.
Product received from Swanicoco for review purposes. Available on Koreadepart or Yesstyle for ~$50.

Sakura Kokoro Beauty Essence

Full review here. I really wish this essence were priced lower because it’s a really lovely and pleasant to use Vitamin C serum that would be a great option for people sensitive to L-Ascorbic Acid (this serum contains ascorbyl glycoside and THDA as it’s vit C forms). Will not repurchase.
Product available from Ippin, who kindly sent it to me for review purposes.

Mommy UV Mild Gel SPF 33 PA+++

I reviewed the old version here and will get around to doing an updated review at some point but I’m a big fan of the reformulation! The old version took longer to dry and left my face shiny for a long time. This new version isn’t matte but has a more satiny finish. Will repurchase.
Purchased from Chomotto using Tenso as a forwarding service. Also available on Amazon US for ~$10.

Swanicoco Fermentation Care Eye Cream

Full review here. I used this as a moisturizer, because as an eye cream it has me milia (a lot of eye creams do that). It’s more occlusive than the cream, but in a cocooning way, so I do think it would make a good eye cream to someone with less finnicky skin. Will not repurchase.
Product received from Swanicoco for review purposes. Available on Koreadepart or Yesstyle for $30.

Thanks for the rundown! The eye cream made me want to ask, as someone with milia under her eyes, when you get milia does it go away on its own or do you do anything to treat it? I didn’t even know what milia was or noticed that I had it until a few months ago, but I’ve had it under my eyes for years! I very recently started using BHA and I think (early so def could be wishful thinking) it is working on the milia….Anyway, you seem very knowledgeable about skincare so was wondering what you do about it, if anything.
