My skin changes drastically when Autumn and Winter roll around, so I have been frantically trying to finish up some of my items that are better suited for summer. Here are my empties from September and October!
Empties I Would Repurchase / Have Repurchased
Benton Honest TT Mist – Full review here. This is my third tube of this mist and I already have 3 backups in my stash. I spray it at least twice a day on the around my nose and mouth, which is very prone to redness. It’s really good at calming and preventing irritation for me.
Swanicoco Fermentation Snail Care Emulsion – Full review here. I love the silky texture of this emulsion and its slightly acidic flowery scent. During summer months, this worked really well as a lightweight moisturizer. I liked it so much I not only bought a second bottle, but picked up the matching toner as well!
Yuri Pibu Artichoke Power Essence – Full review here. This is a slightly astringent, emulsion-like essence that doesn’t have any of the advertised pore-shrinking effects but is quite moisturizing for how light it is! It’s another good summer day moisturizer and I’m about halfway through my second bottle. The problem I have with this essence however is that it doesn’t layer well under heavier creams, which will be problematic once things cool down.
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic – Full review here. This is my favorite Vit C product! I’m testing out some other Vitamin Cs at the moment (Drunk Elephant, Skin Deva, The Ordinary) but I have no doubt I’ll be finding my way back to Skinceuticals soon!
Empties I Might Repurchase
Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil – This is a really excellent, very elegant cleaning oil that remove makeup really well and washes off without leaving residue or drying my skin out. I have no complaints, really, but I just have so many oil cleansers right now that I just love a little bit more than this one.
Earth’s Recipe Waterful Sun Gel – This is a perfectly decent sunscreen. It doesn’t dry my skin and it feels nice on the skin, but I just prefer Japanese sunscreens overall.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser – Full review here. I like this cleanser but it is a tiny bit harsh on my skin. I thought I would repurchase but this bottle has been empty for over a month now and I don’t miss it all that much, so maybe I won’t.
Empties I Will Not Repurchase
Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel – Full review here. I’ve gone through 4 or 5 bottles of this sunscreen and like it, but while it doesn’t break me out but I think it makes any breakouts I have worse somehow? I might repurchase this as a body sunscreen at some point.
Let’s Cure Honeybunny 40 Propolis Ampoule – Full review here. I loved my first bottle of this ampoule but it’s been reformulated and the new formula doesn’t look, feel, or smell anything like the first one. It’s less hydrating and doesn’t give my skin the glow that propolis is known for.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – This is a very functional and utilitarian cleansing oil. The reason I will not repurchase is that it’s quite similar to the Muji sensitive skin cleansing oil (also olive oil based) but the Muji oil is cheaper and I like it more.
That’s it for this month! Are there any products you guys are trying to finish up to transition to winter?
Disclaimer: The Earth’s Recipe sunscreen was provided to me at no cost in exchange for a review by 0.8L. All other products mentioned in this post were purchased by me. The opinions expressed are my own.
Hi Vanity,

Stop making me lust after $160 vitamin C. I almost bought Skinceuticals in Paris because I had your review in my head. “Only” €80-something! I resisted and now I have The Ordinary’s and Banish Acne Scars’ to try. –Angela

I was surprised to see the artichoke essence was slightly astringent! I use artichoke oil in my hair bc it is supposed to be so hydrating. The Swanicoco looks amazing, all that licorice extract!
