I haven’t done an empties post since February, so there are lots of items in this post!
Muji Sensitive Skin Cleansing Oil
Previously reviewed. This is the best cleansing oil I’ve ever used!
Acwell Bubble-Free pH Balanced Cleanser
Previously reviewed. This cleanser doesn’t play nicely with my face so I used it up as a hand soap.
Nuxe Melting Cleansing Gel
This is a gentle, low pH (I tested somewhere between 4.5 and 5), smells like rose buttercream. I really like it! The consistency is quite creamy though, so it might be better for colder months.
Mother Dirt AO+ Mist
I bought this (and a Mother Dirt) shampoo out of curiosity after reading this article. It’s basically a live bacteria solution in a mist form that is supposed to take the place of cleansing. There’s a lot of “probiotic” skincare out there, but this is the only one with real, living bacteria in it. I might do a full review of this when I finish the shampoo, but in a nutshell it sadly did not seem to do much of anything.
Vitamine Super C Serum
This is one of the sensitive-skin appropriate vitamin C serums a I tried in the fall/winter because my beloved Skinceuticals CE Ferulic was too harsh and drying during the colder months. I like it better than the Klairs Juicy Drop (another Vit C serum), but like Klairs it didn’t really do anything for my skin.
2Sol Deep Silky Moisture
I’m working on a full review of this, but after a rocky start I grew to really like this product. This is an oil solution and watery solution that you shake before using. I use it as an emulsion.
Guerisson 9Complex
This is a heavy cream but it sinks in very comfortably into my skin and is so effective! I like to slather it on heavily at night and wake up with soft, plump skin. It also saved my skin during my Scandinavian trip (Nordic winds are NO JOKE) where I used it both at night and during the day. Read more about horse oil here.
Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV
Previously reviewed. My favorite alcohol-free sunscreen and one of my favorite sunscreens overall.
3WClinic UV Snail Day Sun Cream
I bought this after reading Graceful Face’s rave review. It’s got a dense, creamy texture and is quite moisturizing in its own right. It might not be the most appropriate sunscreen for summer months, but it’s awesome for facing the cold!
And that’s all! Things are warming up quickly here in Southern California, so I’m frantically trying to use up some winter items and rotate in some summer items. Follow me on Instagram to see more frequent updates of my skincare routine!
This Mother Dirt stuff is interesting. Did you actually try skipping skincare and showering? –Angela

Whoa, I’m glad you tried the weird probiotic shampoo for us. Sounds cool. And expensive.
