I’m starting a new series called Sunday sundries to capture some things I want to share but aren’t really worthy of their own post.

Random Ingredient Lists and Translations!
I post ingredient lists in reviews but oftentimes am sitting on the lists for a long time before they get published, especially considering the giant backlog of items I’m sitting on right now (more on that later). Starting now, I’m going to make an effort to release them in real time so if anyone is in search of these lists, they’ll be made available sooner!

Where to buy Whamisa Organic Flowers Water Cream?
I get asked this question a lot, despite my somewhat lukewarm feelings towards this cream. Regardless, I do try to keep up to date on Whamisa’s US-friendly distribution if only because they make such pretty bottles! Here are the sellers I am aware of:
Avecko: I buy Whamisa via Avecko because I’ve always been able to find their products I’m interested in at heavily discounted prices. If you’re familiar with Avecko, gmarket, interpark, and Whamisa’s own site (for example, there is a 50% off sale going on today Aug 9) are good places to watch. If you don’t have any luck with that, the Hangul spelling of Whamisa is 화미사 so copy and paste that through naver (Korean google) shopping and you should be able to find something.
Testerkorea: If you would rather purchase from a site that ships directly to the US, you’re in luck because distribution has been growing! I recently posted that TesterKorea now has a very expansive selection of Whamisa items, including the water cream, which can be found here for about $24, depending on conversion rates.
With Grace Shop and Fleurbeau77 eBay stores: Even more recently, Korean sellers must have picked up on the growing demand for Whamisa items in the US, because a few sellers have popped up on eBay very recently, as in in the past couple of days. The two stores I’m aware of are withgraceshop, who is based in Korea, and fleurbeau77, based in Singapore. Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with either store so I cannot vouch for how reliable these sellers are.
Glow Recipe: This is the US based seller largely responsible for making Whamisa as popular as it is in the US. I do not have any experience with them but they would certainly be the easiest, fastest, and unfortunately most expensive source to order from.

Blog Updates!
I’ve been making changes and playing around a bit with the look of this blog! Nothing drastic, but I do feel like I need more structure and consistency around it now that I’ve been doing this awhile. Drop me a line if you have any comments or tips!

“I’m on a no-buy!”
Confession: The longer and longer I’ve been doing an Asian skincare routine, the more and more time I spend breaking in a new product. I used to set aside 2 weeks to exclusively test a new item. Nowadays, I’ve been taking upwards of a month. My recent Avecko hauls? I haven’t even touched some of these items. Unfortunately, the speed and frequency at which I buy new products hasn’t changed, and I am now in a situation where I am frantically trying to use up the items I have while at the same time have a crapload of new things about to rain down on me, including a testerkorea order, wishtrend order, canmake mermaid sunscreens, sharksauce, all the stuff from my trip to The Face Shop, and this beautiful mermaid cleanser I picked up from eBay. I mean, LOOK AT IT:
And so, I am on a strict no buy for the next two months, with the exception being if I run out of sunscreen or one of my staple items. Everything else I’m very, very well stocked on! If you are also on a no-buy, let me know! We can suffer and commiserate together!
I just put myself on a no-buy but am not TOO sad about it. Like you, I actually still have lots of new items to open and play with…when I eventually get around to testing them. Same thing with makeup! –Angela

That’s because I have enough stuff to last me until the end of NEXT year. But THAT would be just too extreme.

Word of warning: they smell STRONGLY of ginseng! They are also very similar to each other so I’m not sure having both the essence and cream are necessary.
